How To Apply

How does it work? What are Semi-Permanent Tattoos?

Semi-permanent tattoos let you enjoy stunning body art without the lifelong commitment of traditional tattoos.

Unlike permanent ink, this special formula only penetrates the top layer of your skin. It reacts with the outermost cells, creating a design that lasts 1–3 weeks depending on your skin type, care routine, and daily activities.

As your skin naturally renews and exfoliates, the tattoo fades gradually until it completely disappears.

How to Apply Your Semi-Permanent Tattoo

Before You Start: Preparation is Key

  • Clean Your Skin – Make sure the area is clean, dry, and free of oils or makeup. Use the primer wipe(s) included in your order.
  • Avoid Exfoliation – Don’t exfoliate the area after application, as this may cause premature fading.
  • Hair Removal (Optional) – Shave the area at least 24 hours before applying for best results and longer wear.
  • Choose the Right Spot – Avoid areas with high friction or constant bending (like elbows or knees) to maximize longevity.

Step-by-Step Application Guide

Prep the Skin

  • Wipe the skin with the Primer Wipes provided.
  • Allow the skin to dry completely before applying.

Apply the Tattoo

  • Remove the clear protective film.
  • Place the tattoo face down on your skin.
  • Press firmly so every part makes contact.

Dampen the Tattoo

  • Soak a cloth in water and press it evenly against the tattoo paper.
  • Hold for 1–2 minutes, making sure the entire paper is moistened.

Peel & Reveal

  • Gently peel away the paper, slowly.
  • If parts haven’t transferred, re-wet and press again for a few seconds.

Dry & Set

  • Allow skin to dry naturally.
  • Avoid touching or rubbing the area.

Additional Tips

  • For darker tattoos (arm only): apply at night, cover with cling wrap, and sleep with it, moisture will make the tattoo appear darker by morning.
  • Without cling wrap: tattoos naturally darken over 4–5 days. Moisturize daily, avoid scrubbing, and be patient.
  • Darkness varies by design: bold, thick designs appear darker than minimal or fine-line tattoos.
  • If not using cling wrap: wear long sleeves the first 1–2 nights to prevent transfer onto your skin or face.

Aftercare Tips: Maximizing Longevity

  • Keep it dry: Avoid showering, swimming, or sweating for the first 24 hours.
  • Sleeping tips: Wear loose, soft clothing the first night to prevent friction.
  • Clothing: Avoid tight or abrasive clothing for 24 hours.
  • Moisturize: After 24 hours, lightly moisturize daily to keep skin hydrated.

Fade & Color: What to Expect

  • Color development: Tattoo starts to show in 24 hours and fully develops in 4–5 days (blue/green to dark blue-black depending on your skin).
  • Natural fading: Tattoo fades gradually as skin regenerates.
  • Placement: Tattoos on hands, wrists, and high-friction areas fade faster.

Troubleshooting: Dark & Even Results

  • Even pressure: Press consistently during application to avoid light patches.
  • Adequate moistening: Ensure the tattoo is dampened enough, but not overly wet.
  • Individual results: Shade and darkness vary depending on your skin chemistry.

Removal

  • Gentle exfoliation: Use a high-quality exfoliating glove in the shower until the design fades.
  • Tattoos fade naturally after the first week and usually disappear by the third week.

Safety Notes

  • Skin sensitivity: Stop use if irritation or allergic reactions occur.
  • Application: Avoid sensitive areas (face, near eyes).
